Buchanan, speak about the sector, local companies, employment trends,

About Lynn Buchanan
Dr. Lynn Buchanan is Vice President, Life Sciences at OCRI and brings
nearly 20 years of global research and senior management experience with
leading pharmaceutical and life sciences companies in Canada and the USA.
Lynn's background includes diverse scientific, regulatory and business
expertise in the development and commercialization of novel therapeutics,
diagnostics, medical devices and enabling technologies for translational
research and medicine. She has extensive experience establishing new
research programs and external partnerships with industry and academia to
successfully deliver leading edge technologies for drug discovery and
development, competitive advantage and new business opportunities.

Previously she was Chief Scientist, R&D at MDS Nordion, Head of
Experimental Pathology & Toxicology at Wyeth Research in New York, and
Scientific Director, In Vitro Toxicology & Metabolism at BioResearch
Laboratories Ltd. in Montreal.

Lynn holds a Ph.D. in Anatomy & Experimental Pathology from the University
of St. Andrews, U.K., and after completing a postdoctoral fellowship in
Pharmacology & Therapeutics at McGill University, she received an MRC
Biotechnology award for cancer research at Queen's University.
